Life Of Wyatt Earp Will Be Book Basis
TOMBSTONE, Apr. 15-Mrs. Josephine Earp, widow of Wyatt Earp, pioneer peace officer of the Southwest, is completing a book on the life of her husband. She states that it is soon to be off the press.
Mrs. Earp lives in Glendale, Calif.

Interesting clipping — especially given the timing. Lake’s Frontier Marshal had already been out for seven years, and Josephine strongly disliked how he portrayed Wyatt and herself.
This notice suggests she was still trying to get her own version of Wyatt’s life into print as late as 1938. Since her manuscript never appeared, it raises the question of whether this refers to the material Glenn Boyer later claimed to use, or if it was simply another attempt at promotion that never materialized.
A useful glimpse into how determined she was to shape Wyatt’s legacy.
